What we collect
Account: if you register, we store your email, a salted password hash (or Google OAuth identifier), and email verification status. Conversation text you paste: used only to generate your analysis via our AI provider (DeepSeek). It is processed in memory for the request and is not stored on our servers afterward. If you upload screenshots, they are sent to a vision service (OpenCode Go) to extract the conversation text, used only for this analysis and discarded immediately — never stored. Subscription: if you subscribe to Pro, we store your plan, subscription status, and renewal date, plus payment processor references. We never see or store your card number. Device: language and theme preferences, a per-day free-usage counter, and an anonymous identifier are kept in your browser’s localStorage. Server sessions (login state) live in httpOnly cookies and our database. Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (page views) and Cloudflare (network security).
Payments (Dodo Payments, Merchant of Record)
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments acting as Merchant of Record. When you subscribe, your email and payment details go directly to Dodo’s secure checkout; Dodo handles tax collection, invoicing, and fraud screening. We receive only subscription status, renewal dates, and non-sensitive customer/subscription references — never your full card number. You can manage, update, or cancel your subscription at any time through the customer portal (Membership → Manage subscription). Refund requests follow the policy in our Terms.
How we process it / cross-border
Your pasted text is sent to DeepSeek (a third-party AI service) for analysis. This means the text leaves your browser and may be processed outside your country of residence. We do not retain it after the response is returned. If you upload screenshots, they are sent to a vision service (OpenCode Go) to extract the conversation text, used only for this analysis and discarded immediately — never stored.
Cookies & tracking
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We use a login session cookie (httpOnly, 30 days), an anonymous usage cookie (7 days, for the free tier), and local storage for the preferences and counters described above.
Your rights & deletion
You may request access to or deletion of any data we hold about you. The fastest path: open Membership → Danger zone → Delete account — this permanently removes your account row and sessions (right to erasure). Payment records held by Dodo Payments are subject to their retention duties (tax/fraud) — contact us and we will coordinate. To delete everything including local data, also clear your browser’s site data. Contact: [email protected].

Love Strategist is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
